CPFilms Inc., a business unit of Solutia Inc., is the worlds largest manufacturer of glass treatment films. With more than 70,000 square meters of manufacturing space, CPFilms Inc. is the only manufacturer with the ability to produce a complete line of solar and security window films under one roof. It employs 800 people in plants and sales offices throughout the world and is ISO 9001:2000 certified. CPFilms Inc. is the manufacturer of LLumar professional film products. LLumar films are supplied by a global network of more than 8,000 distributors and dealers. Sales offices are located in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Korea, and China.

Company Leadership

Kent Davies, 42, is the Senior Vice President of Solutia, Inc. and president of its CPFilms business. He joined CPFilms in February 2006, having most recently held the position of senior vice president of marketing, research and development, and regulatory affairs for United Industries Corp., a U.S. manufacturer of lawn & garden and household insert control products. He has also served in general management and marketing capacities at Kimberly-Clark Corp., 3M and General Mills.

Mr. Davies holds a B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota .

History

CPFilms, Inc. was founded in 1955 by Julius Hermes. Originally named Martin Processing, the company specialized in developing dyeing technology for polyester yarn and other materials. In 1987, the Hermes family sold Martin Processing to the British global firm of Courtaulds, which named the company Courtaulds Performance Films which afterward became CPFilms Inc. In 1999, the company became a business unit of Solutia, a world-class chemical company headquartered in St. Louis , Mo.

Products and Services

CPFilms offers the broadest window film product line on the market for automotive and architectural applications. There are over 100 LLumar glass treatment films designed for solar control, safety and decorative applications offering an extensive choice of visual and performance characteristics. Films can be variably and in combination colored, reflective, semi-reflective, or non-reflective; opaque, translucent, or fully transparent.

LLumar films feature superior quality construction and are designed to meet international standards. The patented, protective scratch-resistant coating on LLumar films has been independently tested and is the most durable in the industry. All LLumar films come with a factory-backed warranty when installed by an authorized LLumar dealer.
