April 18, 2012 LLumar® UV Window Film Helps Protect Truck Drivers from Harmful Sun Exposure and Improves Cabin Comfort LLumar® AIR80™ window film meets the United States Department of Transportation’s (DOT’s) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s clarification to safety regulations regarding window visibility in commercial trucks. Millions of commercial trucks may now utilize select UV window films on side windows for added protection from harmful UVA rays, which have been associated with increased risk of skin cancer. The recent change follows numerous reports of higher-than-average rates of skin cancer on the left side of the face and arm, according to a 2011 article in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, noting driver-side UVA exposure as a likely contributor to the disease....(更多)
